Home Grown Flowers

All are from our garden. This lilly has a light scent of the easter lilly in the spring. The bright electric roses are called "Impatients" and Gail LOVES them.

Peetie is seriously taking a long nap this time....he was there about 5 min...zzzzzz. This was taken on top of our shephards hook....nice in the shade....

Growing out quils ain't all that easy!

Peacock's just down the road on the main highway from our home. They are AMAZING...this is a immature male (on the right) stutting his stuff...but his long feathers are yet to grow in. The male on the left, has one long quil, and is telling his budy, hey, it takes time to impress the chicks...(and they are still chicks at this point in time!)

Our finches! Gail's sunflowers blooming in the background....we feed about 30 or so....check out the one in the middle to the right..It's a house finch and aobut 1/3 larger than the other yellow finches. They are shedding their bright yellow color.

Sleepy Time! Caught this shot about 9am September 4th, 2010. Very busy morning fattening up for the flight south next month. Such beautiful green feathers.....hard to get them sleeping...they sleep for about 30 seconds...then off they go!
